FIFA World Cup action at Singapore's Changi Airport
Singapore Changi Airport is bringing live 2014 FIFA World Cup action to transit passengers with three separate locations across the airport transformed into special event areas for passengers to catch matches ‘live’ throughout the tournament, from 13th June to 14th July 2014.
Changi is offering:
1. Live Streaming
Transit passengers travelling via Changi need not worry about missing out with 19 huge TV screens broadcasting matches throughout the airport. Fans partake in the excitement and cheer their favourites from the football-themed seats adorned in the national Brazilian colours (green, blue and yellow), making them feel like they are part of the action.
2. Support the Socceroos
Australian fans on transit at Changi Airport, who follow the progress of the Socceroos, also stand a chance to win small prizes whenever Australia scores, for instance.
3. Interactive Zone
If the streaming of the games isn’t enough, passengers can battle it out against one another during match intervals on soccer game consoles or at the Foosball Tables. There is also an Entertainment Deck located in Terminal 2 with free access to LAN gaming stations as well as PlayStation and Xbox Kinect consoles, for all their gaming needs.
4. Score updates with Free Wi-Fi
Staying connected is easy at Changi, with complimentary WiFi offered in the transit areas and over 550 free internet kiosks located throughout the terminals.
More than a standard stopover, Changi, voted as the World’s Best Airport, offers travellers a range of options to entertain and unwind. From the rooftop pool and unique butterfly garden to the spacious movie theatres, the airport’s three terminals have something for everyone.
