Feedback collected on Perth Entertainment and Sporting Precinct planned for Burswood Park
Feedback has been collected from hundreds of residents, sports enthusiasts and other interested community members on the new Perth Entertainment and Sporting Precinct planned for Burswood Park.
Input was received from people living in more than 50 suburbs across Western Australia, through both the digital consultation platform and the drop-in sessions held recently outside Optus Stadium.
Visitors at the sessions held at Optus Stadium spoke directly with the Premier's Parliamentary Secretary, technical experts and staff, providing feedback on what they would like to see incorporated into the design, as well as issues they would like to see addressed.
Submissions offered constructive suggestions for special events, permanent amenities for cyclists and other community groups, landscape and environmental enhancements and improved access and facilities for everyday park users.
Preliminary work scheduled in the area in coming weeks includes final geotech investigations around the stadium precinct and further water sampling.
Those who could not attend will have until close of business on Friday, 20th June to make online submissions on the community consultation platform.
