Family Entertainment Centre completed at Abu Dhabi's Yas Mall
Abu Dhabi developer Aldar Properties has announced the completion of construction of the FunWorks family entertainment centre (FEC) at Yas Island's Yas Mall ahead of schedule.
The FunWorks facility was completed six days ahead of schedule and has now been officially handed over to Landmark Group for fit out, Aldar said in a statement.
The mall is slated to open by the end of this year.
The FunWorks facility, a Landmark Group project, will be a first-of-its-kind indoor entertainment centre in the Middle East, spanning over 6,500 metre2 with a focus on playful learning, the statement added.
The ambitious project will see the convergence of entertainment and 'edutainment' through the introduction of new arenas that are intended to create stimuli for visitors.
Attractions will include interactive soft play structures as well as two world-first FEC rides.
Aldar Properties Deputy Chief Executive Mohamed Al Mubarak stated "we are delighted to have worked with Landmark Leisure to bring this unique concept to Yas Mall.
"The family entertainment centre will be first its kind in the region. We're very excited to add it to the large number of other unique and 'market firsts' at Yas Mall."
Landmark Leisure Chief Executive Praveen Bhatnagar added "our upcoming indoor leisure project at Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi, reiterates this commitment and promises to deliver a stellar entertainment experience to our customers."
