Executive behind NFL’s international expansion to open BOSS 2016
Mark Waller, the Executive Vice-President of International for the NFL will give the opening keynote at the Business of Sport Summit 2016 – being held on 15th and 16th March in Sydney.
International expansion has been a priority of the NFL in recent years, with plans to expand the game’s profile in key markets including Canada, Brazil, China, Mexico and Germany, as well as capitalizing on the increased game’s increased visibility in Australia after signing Jarryd Hayne.
Having previously served as the league’s Chief Marketing Officer, Waller is leading the NFL’s global expansion and as one of BOSS’ exclusive keynotes he will be discussing how the NFL plans to operate in a global sports market.
Other headline keynotes for the Business of Sports Summit include Brett Gosper, Chief Executive of World Rugby and the Managing Director of the Rugby World Cup 2015, who will be discussing the future of rugby in the wake of the sport’s most recognised and profitable competition, and Will Dean Chief Executive Officer and Founder of the celebrated endurance event Tough Mudder Inc.
Waller, Gosper and Dean join over 30 sports executives already confirmed for this essential sports industry event.
Other international keynotes include Jackie Poriadjian, Senior Vice President Global Brand Marketing for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (USA); Hans Erik Tujit, Global Activation Director for Heineken (Netherland) and Darren Bailey, a global authority on sports law and integrity and Director of Football Governance for the Football Association (UK).
Early bird registration rates for the Business of Sport Summit, which is being held at the Dockside Conference Centre, Sydney on 15th and 16th March 2016, are available until 4th December.
