EverNow Festival to coincide with WTTC Global Summit in Perth

Western Australia's multi-sensory festival, EverNow will run from 3rd-7th October 2024, with new locations and events added to the 2024 festival program.

Importantly, EverNow will take place at the same time as the World Travel and Tourism Council Global Summit in Perth, providing an opportunity to experience the event for the hundreds of global leaders who will be in WA .

Developed by Perth Festival, EverNow is intended to become a highlight on the State's major events calendar.

The free event, EverNow will be held during Kambarang, the Noongar Season of Birth, and will welcome thousands to Kings Park and other free events, held in soon-to-be-announced new locations.

The festival draws inspiration from WA's rich biodiversity, creativity and First Nations people's enduring connection to the land.

Boorna Waanginy: The Trees Speak will again transform Kings Park with a display of light, sound and projections - telling the stories of Noongar culture and celebrating the beauty and biodiversity of Australia's South West.

The bold installation attracted more than 87,000 people during last year's EverNow festival.

EverNow also welcomes back the inclusion of Song Circle, a live celebration of Noongar performance that immerses audiences in music, dance, and light.

Events will be open at different times across the five-day festival, including:

  • Song Circle: 3rd-6th October 2024; and

  • Boorna Waanginy:The Trees Speak: Kings Park, 4th-7th October 2024.

EverNow 2024 will also feature exciting new Australian-exclusive content, to be announced soon.

WA Culture and the Arts Minister David Templeman noted "EverNow was a roaring success last year with tens-of-thousands of people coming along to the different events on offer and similar numbers expected to attend this year.

"The free event is an excellent showcase of the incredible culture and creativity of Indigenous people and I hope the WA community will get behind EverNow to learn more.

"We're grateful to our partner, Perth Festival, for their fantastic work in bringing EverNow to life and I look forward to seeing it unfold again this Kambarang."
