Events Tasmania continues to support Hobart’s ‘Taste of Summer' festival

Through Events Tasmania, the Tasmanian Government is continuing its support of Hobart’s ‘Taste of Summer' festival via a $7.7 million investment over five years - through to 2026.

The Taste of Summer festival is underway on the Hobart waterfront with Tasmanian Minister for Stadia and Events, Nic Street noting “with a bigger program on offer and an extended opening taking us through until 6th January, the atmosphere at this year’s Taste is buzzing.

“The Taste provides a valuable platform for quality producers from across the State as tourists and locals flock from far and wide to take advantage of this one stop shop of everything Tasmanian.

The Tasmanian Government’s Events Strategy 2023-27 aims to ensure events  deliver across three pillars: economic, social and brand.

Minister Street added “The Taste has all three in spades, drawing large visitation and stimulating strong economic activity while providing an important social hub for Tasmanians over the Christmas and New Year Period.”
