Eventfinda announces buy now, pay later link with Laybuy

Eventfinda, New Zealand’s largest independent ticketing provider, has announced that it is partnering with ‘buy now, pay later’ (BNPL) provider Laybuy in a move that will see tickets to events become more accessible for all Australasian event goers.

Founded in Auckland in 2017, Laybuy is one of New Zealand’s leading BNPL providers and offers an easy and convenient alternative payment option, allowing ticketholders to spread the cost of their purchases across six weeks, interest-free.

Eventfinda has been operating in New Zealand for more than 16 years and is now New Zealand’s premier locally-based full-service ticketing and marketing platform.

Commenting on the development, Eventfinda’s Head of Ticketing, Anna Magdalinos stated “we’re committed to bringing the events industry the best innovation from our product and that includes any partnerships we embark on.

“Laybuy allows our customers to benefit from ticket buyers being able to complete their transactions with an instalment-based payment system.”

The partnership between Eventfinda and Laybuy means that anyone ticketing their event with Eventfinda can now offer payment with Laybuy, allowing event organisers, promoters and venues to appeal to more people by offering greater payment flexibility to their customers.

Risk-free for event organisers
When offering Laybuy as a payment option, promoters and event organisers can choose to pass on the small Laybuy transaction fee to customers.

Rohloff explains “not only does it make it easier for more fans to get to events, but this partnership also delivers benefits to event promoters and organisers as they won’t need to wait for payment because when someone pays with Laybuy they’ll receive their full payment for the tickets from Laybuy straight away.

“As a result, this partnership is a win-win for both fans and event organisers. We make it easier to purchase tickets while also providing promoters with an interest-free and low-risk credit option.”

Financial flexibility for ticket buyers
When ticket buyers select Laybuy as their payment option, account set-up is simple, subject to a credit and ID check. Their payment is processed normally through Eventfinda and split into six weekly interest-free payments.”
