Event series to 'connect Asia’s fitness industry'
Following the success of Singapore's FIT Summit in March, the event organisers are expanding their activities with a series of events and business gathering in Bali, Bangkok and Hong Kong during the remaining months of 2019, before an expanded World Fitness and Wellness Summit, Exhibition and Awards returns to Singapore in April next year.
The first Fit Summit, marketed as the first major business gathering for Asia's health, fitness and wellness industry, was designed as a platform for Asian fitness business leaders to meet and promote greater connectivity, collaboration and investment across the sector.
It will return from 14th to 16th April next year at Singapore's Raffles City Convention Centre as the World Fitness and Wellness Summit, Exhibition and Awards.
Before then, the Fit Summit will stage its Asia Summit in Hong Kong on 25th September, a Thailand Reception in Bangkok on 10th October and an Asia Retreat on the Indonesian island of Bali on 28th November 2019.
It also hosted a Hong Kong Reception in June.
Explaining the reach of the industry event series, Ross Campbell, founder and Chief Executive of FIT Summit advised “Asia's fitness industry is growing at an exponential rate, but it is too fragmented to ensure its sustainable growth.
"Hundreds of exciting brands and businesses exist – many with great potential – but many are not realising their full potential.
"We need to work together to grow our marketplace, engage new demographics and better serve our customers and the communities in which we operate."
Campbell (pictured), the co-founder of Singapore-based fitness and martial arts studio The Jungle MMA & Fitness, realised when doing a business review of the gym that there was no influential business network in Asia to help gym owners and fitness brands grow their business.
With this having been the catalyst for creating FIT Summit, he now plans to "grow FIT Summit into the leading business/investment network for health, fitness, wellness and sport" in the region.
