Inaugural Singapore Fit Summit heralds evolution of Asian fitness business network

Following a period of significant growth in the fitness industry across Asia, a new Singapore-based event, the Fit Summit is aiming to not only bring together delegates and speakers at a key one-day thought leadership conference but to also be the first part of a wider network for the fitness industry in the Asia-Pacific region.

Looking to attract more than 300 delegates, the Fit Summit at Singapore’s Hotel Jen Tangli on 20th March will be addressed by a range of leading industry speakers including: Bob Neville, Global Retail Creative Director at New Balance; Christian Mason, Virgin Active Managing Director, SE Asia; Maurice Levine, Chief Executive Asia and Master Franchiser for Anytime Fitness; Mike Lamb, Jetts Asia Chief Executive; Mylene Mendoza Dayrit, President and Chief Executive of Gold’s Gym (Philippines); Simon Flint Chief Executive of Evolution Wellness and Teck Yin Lim, Chief Executive of Sport Singapore.

The event is backed by leading brands including Fitbit, Technogym, the Fitness and Lifestyle Group, FITREC and industry body FitnessSG.

Beyond this first event, the Singapore-based Fit Summit, which describes itself as a b2b events company, will be organising a Hong Kong Reception in June, its Asia Summit in Hong Kong on 25th September, a Thailand Reception in Bangkok on 10th October and an Asia Retreat on the Indonesian island of Bali in November 2019.

Fit Summit describes its community as including “business leaders from multinational fitness centres, gyms, franchisees, boutique studios, equipment manufacturers, apparel, nutrition and corporate wellness providers, technology platforms, sporting events, investment firms, consultancy groups, government bodies, health agencies, hotel groups and insurers.”
