EOI opens for commercial operations to activate Bega Valley Shire Council reserves
Bega Valley Shire Council has opened Expressions of Interest (EOI) from mobile vendors keen to operate in some of the region’s most picturesque and frequently visited public reserves.
The EOI is open to a variety of mobile operations, including:
refreshment kiosks on foreshore reserves
mobile food, drink and/or retail outlets operating in fixed locations during daylight hours
other commercial ventures such as fitness training and recreational activities.
Council’s Director of Community, Environment and Planning, Emily Harrison said the program is part of a broader strategy to activate public spaces and enhance the visitor experience.
Harrison advises “these reserves offer an ideal setting for mobile vendors to operate under a three-year licence.
“The EOI process streamlines approvals and provides traders with an opportunity to set up in some of the shire’s most popular outdoor locations.
“This initiative follows a successful trial and reflects Council’s commitment to supporting local enterprise and vibrancy in public spaces.”
