Bega Valley Shire Council currently recruiting for swimming pool positions
Ahead of the upcoming swimming season, Bega Valley Shire Council has advised it is currently recruiting for Council-managed swimming pools across the shire.
Council’s Aquatic and Leisure Facilities Coordinator, Nicholas Hoynes said the employment opportunities include contract, seasonal and casual roles.
Hoynes noted “we have openings for new staff across the Bega Valley, with opportunities to work at Bega, Bemboka, Candelo and Eden swimming pools, and the Sapphire Aquatic Centre.
“Cobargo Swimming Pool continues to be operated by our respected local contractor, Jim Gustard.
“People interested in joining our Aquatic and Leisure Facilities team are encouraged to visit Council’s Careers webpage or subscribe to our Job Alerts.
“We are also working with training organisations to deliver training courses locally, helping keen learners gain the necessary qualifications to join our team.”
The following training courses will be delivered at Sapphire Aquatic Centre in Pambula Beach unless advised otherwise:
Swim Australia Foundation Coach Course on Sunday 11th August
RLSNSW Pool Lifeguard Full course on Saturday 30th August and Sunday 1st September*
RLSNSW Pool Lifeguard Update on Friday 20th September and Saturday 21st September (Bega)
RLSNSW Swim Teacher Course on Sunday 22 September*
AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September*.
*Funding opportunities may be available for eligible participants
