Eden Park to launch Haka Experience tour
Auckland’s Eden Park is set to expand its stadium tour with the addition of an authentic Māori cultural performance and haka (war dance) workshop.
To be held on four dates between 17th November and 5th January, the Maori Cultural Performance and Perform A Haka Experience will see attendees take a unique tour of New Zealand’s largest stadium with a Māori warrior guide before learning to perform a haka on the field played on by the All Blacks.
A statement from Eden Park advises that fans will “walk in the footsteps of iconic sporting heroes and re-live great sporting moments as you explore, taking a look through the home teams changing rooms and visiting the 'hallowed turf' on the historic No.1 field.
“Your guide will enlighten you with its fascinating history and then you'll experience first hand the mana, or power of the haka just as it's performed on game day at Eden Park.”
