Eden Park to host Auckland Eid Day

Eden Park has announced that it is to host the Auckland Eid Day (Eid Adha), a celebration of the major EID holidays observed by Muslims worldwide, on Tuesday 13th September.

Working in collaboration with the community, this familyfriendly event will create an atmosphere of happiness, fun, diversity and unity at Eden Park.

Looking forward to the event, Eden Park Chief Executive Guy Ngata commented “Auckland Eid Day - Adha provides Aucklanders of all religions an opportunity to celebrate the joyous spirit of Eid with the Auckland Muslim community.

“The event further demonstrates the diversity of events held at Eden Park and the cultural significance of our globally renowned and iconic stadium.”

Auckland Eid Day will offer a wide variety of educational displays, cultural exhibits and food stalls across the venue; welcoming all visitors to learn, embrace and taste the many flavours of diversity amongst the Muslim community.

As a family-based event, Auckland Eid Day invites children of all ages to enjoy a wide selection of games including bouncy castles, a toddler playland, a mechanical bull and more.

Auckland Eid Day is an event organised by grassroot Muslims for the community. It is an open platform that enables anyone and everyone to contribute their unique skills, services and experience to bring together this joyous celebration of Eid.
