Dubai Municipality parks and facilities welcome over 16.7 million visitors in first half of 2025

Dubai Municipality’s public parks and recreational facilities attracted more than 16.7 million visitors in the first half of 2025, an increase of over 250,000 compared to the same period in 2024.

The steady rise in attendance reinforces Dubai’s reputation as a global hub for leisure, community engagement, and quality of life.

The city’s five major parks - Zabeel, Mushrif National Park, Al Safa, Al Mamzar, and Creek Park - jointly received 3.7 million visitors while an additional 11.4 million visited the city’s 211 public parks, while the Quranic Park welcomed 813,000 visitors. Landmark attractions like the Dubai Frame drew 748,000 guests, and Children’s City recorded 51,000 visits during the same period.

Bader Anwahi, Chief Executive of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, commented "ongoing investments in upgrading parks and recreational facilities have transformed them into year-round attractions that combine leisure, culture, and community engagement. This strong turnout reflects our efforts to create inclusive, vibrant spaces that enhance quality of life, align with Dubai’s ambitions, and attract visitors from around the world.

“Our parks are a key part of Dubai’s balanced urban development model, delivering both sustainability and joy through thoughtful design, innovation, and accessibility.”

Built to international standards of urban planning and sustainability, Dubai’s parks provide a unique blend of entertainment and natural tranquillity. They contribute significantly to the physical and mental well-being of residents and visitors alike, while supporting major strategic initiatives such as the Dubai Urban Plan 2040, the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, and the ‘Dubai Walk’ project - aimed at expanding pedestrian-friendly public spaces across the city.

Parks as community and cultural hubs
The city’s growing network of green spaces has also become a dynamic platform for public engagement. In the first six months of 2025, more than 1,485 events - spanning sport, culture, recreation and community activities - were hosted across Dubai’s parks and public venues.

Dubai Municipality oversees over 220 parks and recreational facilities, each equipped with modern amenities and designed to serve a diverse population of residents, tourists, and families. The Municipality’s mission remains focused on fostering inclusive, sustainable, and high-quality experiences that promote well-being and support Dubai’s expanding tourism and environmental goals.
