Diversity and Inclusion in Leisure Forum counts down to Melbourne return
Following the success of its inaugural event in 2023, stakeholders in the aquatic and recreation industry in Victoria have again joined together to address issues relating to the need for continual advancement and progression of diversity, equity and inclusion in the industry.
To be held at Zinc in Melbourne’s Federation Square of Thursday 8th February, the 2024 Diversity, Inclusion and Leisure Forum has been developed as a result of key organisations and businesses including Aquatics and Recreation Victoria (ARV), AUSactive, Aligned Leisure, Bluefit, Belgravia Foundation, The Y Victoria and Disability Sport and Recreation.
Aimed at highlighting the potential for the Victorian aquatic and recreation industry to strengthen its ability to welcome, support and include everyone into everything leisure can offer, the Forum provides various short, TEDx-style presentations which are aimed at a variety of evidence-based practices which have been evaluated so the outcomes can be portrayed to those in attendance along with the associated data / outcomes.
The 2023 event attracted over 200 representatives from Victorian organisations supporting areas of our industry including aquatics, fitness and recreation.
It also generates five AUSactive Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for attendees.
The Forum follows the Belgravia Foundation’s 2024 Inspiration Breakfast - also being held at Zinc.
