Demand sees Radical Fitness launch virtual classes

Aiming to meet growing consumer demand for virtual classes, Radical Fitness has launched into the market 16 different virtual classes oriented to towards the club, studio and in-home markets.

A forerunner in the global group fitness market, Radical Fitness has been offering live classes and developing programs since 2004.

Three years ago they launched their Radical Fitness Mobile App and now they have partnered up with France-based innovators MG to offer the best and latest in online solutions to download and play their video content.

Introducing the new platform, Radical Fitness Australasia Chief Executive, Gavin Marshall stated “virtual fitness is part of the new digital technology that dominates the world in every industry and it’s here to stay.

“We’re seeing more and more clubs that refer to virtual fitness as the new ‘must have’, but to be successful it requires current on-trend fitness videos which meet consumer demand.”

To meet this demand, Radical Fitness has launched 16 virtual programs including the sought-after HIIT core and HIIT cardio programs, body and mind programs, the in-demand kick boxing and martial arts programs as well as cycle programs.

Radical Fitness virtual allows gyms, clubs and fitness centres to run classes in their Group Fitness or Cycling studio by video, using a projector or large LED screen, which means members can request or have scheduled workouts at off-peak periods of the day.

The wide-ranging benefits allow clubs to optimise their group fitness rooms, rather than have them sitting vacant while also being cost effective by reducing labour and program costs.

The programs give members unparalleled variety with content and class times while also allowing beginners to participate alone or in smaller classes, increasing their comfort level and creating an easier transition to larger live classes.

Ultimately, the classes have the potential to provide increased revenue by allowing more members to train at times suitable to them – with classes able to be run during public holidays and never having to be cancelled due to instructor sickness.

Radical Fitness videos are downloaded from the cloud and loaded onto a computer, which means play-back of videos isn’t affected by internet problems like buffering or loss of connection. Workouts can run seamlessly, without interruptions.

Clubs are given two options for running the videos. Classes can either be scheduled to start automatically at designated times around live classes or with a touch screen computer installed by the group fitness room allowing members to select and play a virtual class at any time during the day, providing and on-demand system that adapts to the needs of each client.

All programs are offered as either 15, 30 or 45 minute classes and the system is further enhanced with quarterly brand new videos.

Radical Fitness’s launch of its virtual system echoes its core mission and values: “we are experimenters, we seek to change through constant innovation and creation. That’s why we concentrate on developing different and non-traditional products to create really radical fitness training programs.”
