The role, while based in Melbourne, will lead the delivery of these offers across Gemba’s Asia Pacific business.

Wood (pictured above) joins Gemba with an extensive background in the sport and entertainment industry, most recently running his own consultancy. Before the establishment of his business, Wood was co-head of Ernst & Young’s Sports, Events and Venues practice while also having been a member of the 2013 Australian Masters Games Advisory Board.

Wood has worked on a diverse range of major projects, including:

• The economic impact of the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix
• Developing the strategic plan of the Carlton Football Club
• Project managing the State Library of Victoria’s recent bid for funding for a redevelopment of its CBD site

Commenting on the addition to the Gemba team, Chief Executive and Director Rob Mills explained "we are really excited about Dale’s decision to join Gemba.

"He has a great background in the industry and he will bring a lot to an already talented team.

"In particular Dale’s extensive experience with venues and major sporting infrastructure supports our fast growing Venue & Facility Division.

"Dale’s passion for the industry and the development of people was incredibly impressive”

Outlining his reasons for joining Gemba, Wood stated “I have really enjoyed running my own consultancy, but when Gemba approached me I thought it was a unique opportunity to collaborate with a talented team who live and breathe sport and entertainment.

"I have watched Gemba develop their business over the past few years and I am really excited about contributing to the next phase of their growth.”
