Crunch Fitness Set for first Australian opening
Crunch Fitness, the Original 'No Judgments' Gym, is set to open its first Australian club, in the Sydney suburb of Chatswood, in early September 2010.
Started in New York USA 21 years ago, the Crunch Fitness model is based on offering entertaining and interesting work outs for members within a 'no judgment' environment. They have fused Group Fitness and Personal Training to give members a variety of classes within three key class types: Action Sports, Chill Outs and Dance Rhythms.
Their creativity keeps members entertained and coming back for more.
Crunch Fitness' unique approach to fitness is also found in their approach to memberships. Their structure is 'No Contracts', 'No Joining Fee' and 'No Admin Fee'. True to this, at the Chatswood site they are offering a remarkable pre-sales deal of $4.95 a week for a base membership which covers use of the gym facilities. Peak membership at Crunch Fitness Chatswood will be a mere $9.90 a week which covers use of the gym facilities and classes.
With less than 30 sites in the USA, Crunch Fitness are a medium sized chain. Their move to Australia is with local Sydney entrepreneur Selena Short - who already owns successful V Club in the Sydney CBD.
Crunch's online membership sales tool is powered by their direct debit provider, Ezypay's Direct Debit Gateway (DDG) system, which Ezypay established in under a week. It works by integrating into Crunch's website and via an iFramed application in Facebook.
As Celeste Kirby-Brown, Sales & Marketing Director at Ezypay explains "we're thrilled to be able to support such an innovative and exciting new gym in Australia.
"Not only can we help them with collecting reoccurring member payments, we can also make it easy for them to sign up members with our online membership sign up tool â the Direct Debit Gateway."
