Country Club International and Golf Business Australia combine to reduce risk at Australian golf clubs
Golf Business Australia (GBA), the country’s fastest-growing golf industry-specific insurance and finance provider, has united with Country Club International (CCI), Australia’s leading distributor of golf course accessories and safety equipment.
The new partnership was formed with the objective to reduce the many risks at Australian golf clubs and facilities by providing safety fencing and insurance products.
Offering ground-breaking products to Australian golf, the two companies have connected with ver the mutual goal to better the setting around courses and protect clubs against the increasing hazard of wayward golf ball incidents.
Advising that the new collaboration would introduce new safety measures to the golf industry and provide a more secure environment around golf courses in Australia, GBA founder and Managing Director Daniel Bateup stated “GBA’s priority has always been to provide our partnering clubs, big or small, with best-in-class risk solutions.
“We wanted our value proposition to extend beyond insurance expertise via working partnerships with like-minded peers, such as CCI, to improve a facilities risk profile & negotiate more favourable insurance premiums as a result.”
The innovative partnership commenced last year when GBA got involved with CCI’s insurance program after recognising potential non-insurance cover issues in the business.
GBA was subsequently able to provide CCI with a new insurance product based on the company’s extensive industry knowledge and experience.
Explaining that it had been greatly beneficial for the company to be working together with another industry expert, and that the combined forces of the two business moving forward would provide client with an inclusive protection cover and safety outcome, CCI National Sales Director John McCafferty added “time and time again we see clubs facing litigation from errant golf balls where public liability becomes a concern, that’s where our expertise in safety fencing kicks in.
“On the water management side of the business the EPA are certainly becoming more away of contaminated water discharge from simple everyday activities such as washing down equipment,”
“Unlike before, it’s been GBA who have helped clubs with such considerations for these activities and that’s where we fit in to help with the solution.”
Both GBI and CCI are founding members of Golf IQ, a golf industry collaborative developed to deliver mixed professional services to Australian golf clubs, such as marketing, workplace health and safety, recruitment, water management.
