Golf Australia announces new partnership with AgBioEn

Golf Australia has announced a new four-year major partnership with renewable energy company AgBioEn. AgBioEn is Australia’s first fully integrated, carbon negative, renewable energy and fuel project and utilises technology to produce cleaner and greener renewable energy and liquid fuels.

In a landmark partnership, Golf Australia will provide AgBioEn with global and domestic exposure through a national platform of world-class events, including the men’s and women’s Australian Opens, Vic Open and Queensland Open. It also will receive direct access to the 400,000 club golfers who connect through the golf handicap system at www.golf.org.au

Golf Australia Chief Executive Stephen Pitt noted that “We’re excited to have a brand such as AgBioEn align with golf in this country.

“To have such a progressive and innovative brand investing in Golf Australia is a really positive message on the state of the game in this country.

“One Golf has been our primary focus for the past 12 months and signing a new deal of this magnitude is a true reflection of the commercial benefits of our governance structure.”

AgBioEn’s Australian Chief Executive Charles Hunting added that the company was delighted to partner with Golf Australia for these international tournaments (listed below).

“This partnership offers us the opportunity to showcase the AgBioEn brand on the world stage through our sponsorship of Golf Australia and its world-class events.

“AgBioEn will strive to use its partnership to educate Golf Australia’s constituents in the commercial benefits of renewable energy and fuels.”
