Corsaire unveils artistic upgrade to fleet of helicopters
Perth-based aviation company, Corsaire Aviation, has released a stunning artistic upgrade to its fleet of helicopters.
Partnering with local Kimberley artist and Bunuba/Gija woman, Taminga Connell, three of the helicopters now display traditional art created by Taminga. The artwork is representative of a unifying story of ‘The Journey’, representing the journey taken by many people of differing backgrounds, races and cultures to come together for the ultimate goal of unity and harmony.
The Corsaire team note “the concept of displaying traditional art on our machines is to both honour the people when we are conducting heritage survey work throughout the Pilbara and Kimberley Regions, as well as encourage local tourists to learn about the traditional owners of this land.
“The idea came to fruition when we teamed up with our friends at Kimberley Spirit. Scott and Taminga Connell were not only onboard but excited by the opportunity to do something we haven’t seen before in Perth.”
The artworks can be seen on display across WA skies, including aboard Great Escape for the Kimberley expedition cruising season, and helps to encourage locals and visitors to learn about the traditional owners of this land.
Corsaire Aviation supplies helicopters and aeroplanes to Western Australia’s tourism sectors from the Kimberley to the Great South, and everywhere in between. They offer small aircraft and helicopter charters from Perth to many destinations throughout WA and mainland Australia. Some of the aircraft charter packages from Perth include Margaret River winery tours, helicopter golf and lunching, heli-fishing, and eco-tours to destinations such as the Abrolhos islands, Dirk Hartog Island, Coral Coast and the amazing Kimberley region.
