Clip ‘n Climb welcomes opening of 100th centre

The manufacturers of the Clip ‘n Climb fun climbing concept have welcomed the opening of their 100th centre in Amsterdam, Holland.

Opened just before Christmas, the new centre caps a successful year for the ‘fun climbing’ industry market leader which is predicting significant further international expansion of the brand in 2017.

The multi award winning Clip ‘n Climb concept was conceived in Christchurch, New Zealand in 2005. Since then, demand for its fun climbing walls has increased year on year experiencing exponential growth with Clip ‘n Climb now enjoyed by people in over 30 countries. The company estimates that close to 5 million people currently enjoy healthy challenging fun at Clip ‘n Climb centres each year.

As a result, over the past two years the company has expanded its manufacturing facilities in the United Kingdom, New Zealand and China.

Commenting on the growth of the business, co-founder John Targett explains “the international success of Clip ‘n Climb is a testimony to the company’s commitment to quality and innovation.

“That commitment and a deep understanding of the market has resulted in the emergence of Clip ‘n Climb as a genuine global brand.”

Targett sees that Clip ‘n Climb has come a long way in the last decade since the day it revolutionised the sport of climbing and transformed it into a popular mainstream activity. Its unique and exciting climbing challenges continue to be people magnets around the world.

Clip 'n Climb International Chief Executive Eric Surdej adds “the company is extremely proud to have reached this significant milestone.

“We are confident that the current period of sustained growth will continue through clear strategies to increase our customer base.”
