Centaman Entrance Control expands security gate range

A new Centaman Entrance Control speedgate offering the slimmest pedestal on the market is making unattractive and obtrusive security solutions a thing of the past.

Centaman Entrance Control General Manager Michael Bystram said the EasyGate SUPERB was designed to be as narrow and discrete as possible to ensure minimal impact on a building’s design.

Bystram advised “we find many of our clients are looking for safety, security and reliability, without having to compromise on the aesthetics of their building or lobby area.

“The EasyGate SUPERB is available in brushed stainless steel and with a smoked black glass top as standard but can be finished in different coloured stainless steel and supplied with customised tops of different colours and materials such as stone, Corian and coloured glass.

“The gates also feature LED illumination, which, in addition to enabling user-friendly navigation cues such as green arrows or red crosses, can be configured with a wide range of colours and lighting effects, for aesthetic purposes.”

The gate’s slim design makes it a great option for small, awkward spaces. It can be fitted with barriers up to 1.8 metre high to deter jump over attempts, making it well suited to unmanned applications.

Despite its compact nature, the EasyGate SUPERB can still be configured to feature an integrated motorised visitor card collector, with card return function.

The swing barrier design ensures the same narrow pedestal can be used for both standard width and Disability Discrimination Act compliant lanes.

Bystram noted “safety and security go hand in hand and the EasyGate SUPERB features top of the line safety features such as beams and torque sensors that allow thee gates to detect resistance when closing, preventing injuries", explaining that the gates could be integrated with a building’s fire alarm system to automatically open in an emergency, or in case of a power outage.

The EasyGate SUPERB offers the same industry-leading 36-month warranty as other Centaman Entrance Control EasyGates, demonstrating the company’s confidence in the reliability of the gates.

It also features a unique self-diagnostic mode to enable remote access and control of the speedgate, allowing it to automatically report maintenance cycles and damage.

Bystram added “this makes it easier for our clients to monitor, and stay on top of, maintenance cycles, extending the overall life and quality of life of their speedgates. It also allows for quick response to minor issues before they have the chance become major - often costly - problems.”
