Centaman Cruises New Waters
Whitsunday-based ferry and cruise operator Fantasea Adventure Cruising has selected Centaman systems for its point-of-sale, reservations, ticketing and internet bookings.
As the largest and most experienced cruise operator in the Whitsundays, Fantasea Adventure Cruising take thousands of holidaymakers each week to destinations across the Whitsundays including Reefworld and the famous Whitehaven beach.
The new Fantasea-Centaman partnership will provide a platform for superior customer service while also supporting new growth opportunities for Fantasea products and services.
The project will focus on delivery of a new ticketing system for inter-island transfers as well as cruises. Additionally Centaman will be implemented at both Fantasea @ The Esplanade and Fantasea @ Shute where it will be used for retail point-of-sale and stock control, as well as reservations and ticketing.
Reservations and bookings will also be captured in Centaman while passengers will also have the option to go online to make a booking and print their tickets at home. Extensive use of kiosk technologies will also allow customers to purchase and print their own tickets without the need to visit the ticket desk.
The system will bring many benefits to passengers including an improved boarding process and will help Fantasea to reduce administration costs and improve management reporting via the delivery of key real time information and statistics.
The Centaman solution will be deployed across all Fantasea operations in the Whitsundays including Jubilee Pocket, Airlie Beach, Shute Harbour, Hamilton Island and Reefworld. In addition customers will be able to purchase items on board the seven high-speed catamarans via the Centaman point-of-sale solution which will be using specialist state of the art hardware technology.
