Cardinia Life introduces new swimming program

Aligned Leisure has introduced a new swimming program at Cardinia Life - the Royal Life Saving Australia’s Swim and Survive program.

The program features three tiers and seeks to increase the swimming and water safety skills of all Australian children.

The Wonder (for infants from six to 36 months), Courage (for children aged three to five years) and Active (for children aged five to14 years) programs reflect the hopes and aspirations of children as they embark on a lifetime of fun and safety in the water.

Each program is structured into skill strands that ensure a balanced, comprehensive instructional approach to a child’s aquatic education.

Since its inception over 30 years ago, over 15 million Australian children have participated in the Swim and Survive program.

Swim and Survive has made a significant contribution in many families lives by reducing the rate of drowning in children aged for children aged five to 14 years by over 75%

The centre went through a comprehensive registration and safety audit process to become a Swim and Survive Partner.
