Canberra's Project Fitness Group to transition to HIIT Republic brand as it joins Viva Leisure stable
Viva Leisure Limited has today announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire the business of the ACT-based Project Fitness Group.
Viva Leisure’s acquisition of the business will see Project Fitness Group facilities transition to its hiit republic brand, with the changes to commence immediately and be progressively completely over the next week.
The Project Fitness Group brand has achieved significant growth and a very loyal following over the past few years, and alignment with hiit republic will see an extension in facilities and services for all members.
Advising of the acquisition, Viva Leisure Chief Executive, Harry Konstantinou “the Project Fitness Group business is one of the most respected functional training facilities in Canberra with an extremely loyal following.
“The owners Tal and Jimmy have done an incredible job identifying, establishing and filing a niche in the market (and) we are extremely excited by what the future will bring by merging the Project Fitness Group location into the hiit republic family.”
Tal Evans, Project Fitness Group co-owner, added “starting our own business was very exciting for both Jimmy and me several years back.
“We are proud of our achievements and the achievements of our many members over the years. We are excited to now move the business to the next stage of its life as a hiit republic boutique studio, which joins multiple other hiit republic studios already operating.
“Jimmy will continue as manager, and you (members) will still see me around running classes and personal training my clients.”
In an advisory not on what the changes mean for Project Fitness Group members, Viva Leisure advised “you can be assured that under the hiit republic brand, Viva Leisure will continue to focus on delivering the highest quality of services and premium products you have been accustomed to.
“There will not be any changes to your existing membership contracts, and they will be fully honoured.
“What you will see however is additional services, options and opportunities made available to you as part of your membership.”
The changes will see a full range of hiit republic equipment installed to supplement the existing equipment on-site along with internal and external aesthetic upgrades.
Viva Leisure is the only fitness club group in Australia that is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and is the largest non-franchised fitness operator in Australia.
