BrushBoarding continues to make waves

Having proved popular in Europe, the interactive board sports attraction BrushBoarding is now available in Australasia.

Based in the Europe for several years, entrepreneur Kyle Dent founded and created BrushBoarding - with the surf wave simulating multi board sports attraction proving to have been a popular addition at a range of leisure industry locations.

Its most recent installation was at Airkix Indoor Skydiving centre, situated at 'The Leisure Park' at Basingstoke, South West of London. Reporting on the permanent BrushBoarding installation at the family activity centre, Natalie Morris of women's sport magazine 'Sportsister' wrote "I was wary of BushBoarding all the fun of surfing without the water but it turned out to be my favourite activity!

"This activity is a great cardio workout ..., it works your balance and coordination as well as giving you a fun taste of the surfing experience.

"I couldn't stop grinning throughout and it's almost tempted me to give surfing a go for real."

The success of BrushBoarding has also seen the Mountain Dew Energy mobile event Brush Ramp operating in Ireland - engaging onlookers and riders at major sporting events through the (northern hemisphere) summer.

Looking to future expansion, Dent explains "we are continuing to build on the successes of the European business model and (we) ... are looking forward to working with new brand partners, government organisations, event managers and leisure related facilities alike as our grass roots level sport is adopted."

The patented technology used for the Brush Ramps creates an intense and fun activity that appeals to a wide age group of users, offering a gentle learning curve for first time boarders with little or no board sport experience, and a unique rush for competent and seasoned riders looking to engage with Brush Ramps' faster and more extreme speed settings.

Introducing the activity, Dent adds "BrushBoarding is not surfing, not snow boarding (and not) skate (boarding).

"It's a new and different board sports experience that allow the riders to enhance balance, fitness and coordination which can be transferred to any of the board sports."

Dent also points to market surveys that show 90% of riders compare it to surfing - but without the water of the need to get wet.

BrushBoarding's 'Brush Ramps' can be designed and manufactured to suit just about any installation; it uses little power and has proved to have great appeal to a wide demographic in all sections of the leisure industry market.
