Breathing new life into Queensland fitness
Newly launched fitness club group Breathe Health Clubs has created a unique partnership to educate personal trainers in south eastern Queensland.
The group (which operates three clubs, at Hervey Bay, North Lakes and Toowoomba) has partnered with the FIT College to train Personal Trainers within two of their clubs; at Toowoomba and Hervey Bay.
Within rooms at each of these Breathe Health Clubs, the FIT College offers Certificate III and Certificate IV in Fitness courses to the public.
FIT College point out that this "is not just another Personal Training course. We are active in assisting students to find suitable work experience and vocational placement in order to gain 'real world' experience."
Headed by former Fitness First and Goodlife Health Clubs executive Roger Westerman, Breathe Health Clubs have developed two of their clubs, at Hervey Bay and North Lakes, and rebranded a former Onelife Health Club in Toowoomba.
According to a Breathe Health Clubs staff member "Breathe Health Clubs prides itself in its members and the team it attracts and (we) believe this has something to do with our positive, friendly atmosphere."
