Boxing NSW signs three years agreement with JOLS adidas
Boxing NSW (BANSW) has agreed a exclusive three year equipment supply agreement with Australian-based JOLS adidas.
Commenting on the agreement, BANSWS Executive Officer Tammy Sheridan explains “Boxing NSW is excited with what the new partnership with JOLS adidas means for the boxing community in NSW.
“It represents growth, confidence, solidarity, camaraderie. We move into 2017 with a new partnership as strong as JOLS adidas with the intention to evolve and move forward as one state. “Our aim is that our community feels that this is the era of solidarity and integrity within Boxing in NSW and JOLS adidas has come to back us at the perfect time.”
JOLS adidas Managing Director Paul Jolley added “we are pleased to be partnering with Boxing NSW and to be supporting the boxing community at grassroots level. We love seeing aspiring young athletes achieve their dreams and we believe this partnership can help facilitate that.”
Boxing NSW is the home of Olympic-style boxing in the region and is a Member Association of Boxing Australia.
In this role as Member Association, Boxing NSW is entrusted to ensure the safety and progression of all boxers in the state, allowing them to be able to nominate for AIBA pathway events such as the Commonwealth and Olympic Games and World Youth and Elite titles for both women and men.
There are many scheduled events in the Boxing NSW calendar, with the recent NSW selection event held from 17th to 19th February 2017 featuring 84 strong competitors.
The successful boxers will move through to the Nationals in South Australia, then further progress to international tournaments such as the Youth Commonwealth Games in the Bahamas which kicks off on 19th July.
