Blacktown City SportsFest returns in 2023 showcasing the best of local sport

The 2023 Blacktown City Family SportsFest - a sports extravaganza being held on Saturday 26th August at Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope - is set to be bigger and better this year with an array of activities for the entire family to enjoy and to showcase sports, aquatic and recreation facilities available within the community.

This year’s SportsFest will include interactive displays from a range of sports including football, pickleball, tennis, rugby league, baseball, basketball, hockey, cricket, athletics, netball, softball and much more.

Mayor of Blacktown City Tony Bleasdale shared “there will be sports clinics, demonstrations, interactive sporting displays, appearances from sporting personalities, inflatables, giveaways and lots more. The best part is that everything is free.

“Blacktown is a proud sporting city and this event is the perfect opportunity to showcase the sports available within our community. The day will offer several ‘come and try’ clinics and an opportunity to find out about the great programs and services that are available at Council’s Leisure and Aquatic Centres.”

Entry to the whole of Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope will be free from noon to 4 pm, allowing families to enjoy all that SportsFest has to offer on the day, while also checking out the range of facilities on offer at the Centre.

Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope will also be offering a special 10% discount on all upfront memberships and no joining fee on the day.
