Birds stolen from Featherdale Wildlife Park
Several exotic birds have been stolen from the Featherdale Wildlife Park in Sydney's west.
NSW Police say a man broke into the park at Doonside late on Christmas Eve, cutting off the locks of aviaries and stealing 10 birds, worth around $15,000 to $18,000.
Two of the birds were macaws, valued at around $6,000 each, while two cockatoos and six doves were also taken.
Officers believe the theft was carefully targeted and say the thief had good knowledge of the park.
