Big Banana expands as 50th birthday approaches
Set to celebrate its 50th birthday in the coming months, Coffs Harbour attraction the Big Banana is continuing to expand.
The ‘big thing’ recently hosted the relauch of the Xtreme Bodyflight Wind Tunnel, now in its permanent new location in Coffs Harbour, while currently developing a 36-hole mini-golf course.
Mini Golf Australia has been engaged to create two challenging and fun mini-golf courses at the Big Banana that will appeal to visitors of all ages.
Commenting on the development, Mini Golf Australia General Manager Brian Dee told the Coffs Coast Advocate "we are very excited to be involved with the construction of this new attraction.
"Coffs Harbour is an excellent location for this type of activity because of the high flow of tourist traffic as well as the relatively large local population."
The attraction is also preparing for the summer with the reopening of its inflatable water park, while having celebrated being named best major tourist attraction at the 2014 North Coast Tourism awards.
The landmark attraction is also set to celebrate its 50th birthday on 22nd December.
