BFT launches bespoke heart rate system for group training
Body Fit Training (BFT) have launched what they say is “a world first” in group fitness technology, a heart rate system bespoke to its BFT programs and designed to reward exercisers performance.
In a statement, BFT advise “while other heart rate monitors purely reward high heart rates (our) 13 programs are all different as they know that the best results come from a variation in heart rates and rest periods, as well as training styles.”
The new heart rate system, BFT³, rewards all programs, not just cardio, with exercisers rewarded for following the prescribed heart rate zones in specific sessions to receive optimal outcomes, both digitally and physically.
Each session that attend will have a target PXI (Performance x Intensity - BFT’s measurement of performance and intensity for each session) score based on the program.

In studio, a PXI Target Score will be prescribed for each session. Members will be specifically rewarded for following the heart rates prescribed for BFT in studio sessions to aim to hit the prescribed PXI target to get the maximum benefit from each session
There is no standard PXI score set across BFT sessions, as each program will have different PXI scores tailored to the individual session.
If users score within 5%, 10% or 15% of the target PXI, they earn a reward.
