Barry’s launches first Australian studio
High-intensity workout phenomenon Barry’s is to open its first Australian studio doors in Surry Hills, Sydney as of tomorrow (Saturday 15th September).
Led by the Sydney founding instructors, Barry’s will deliver the renowned 55-minute high intensity interval training (HIIT) workout in the franchise’s signature Red Room for an immersive and motivating experience that burns up-to 1000 calories.
The studio schedule will be uniquely customised to focus on independent muscle groups each day of the week from arms and abs, butt and fegs, chest back and abs and hardcore abs, through to full body classes.
Spanning an expansive 400 metre² and with a class capacity of 48 spots the Barry’s Surry Hills studio is designed to appeal to a local clientele. The space features a fusion of concrete, contrast metal and timbre finishes with custom built design features to maximise social media moments.
In addition to the core workout, Barry’s Surry Hills will house its signature Fuel Bar serving made-to-order nutritionally approved protein smoothies to aid fitness recovery, specifically adapted to use local ingredients.
In the Fuel Bar, master franchisors Blake Bridges and Heston Russell - who are backed by the Fitness and Lifestyle Group - have created their own bespoke smoothies - Body by Blake and Hesto 2 Go.
In keeping with the studio’s concierge-style service Barry’s Surry Hills will offer fully-equipped change-room facilities stocked with Oribe products, complimentary towels, dry bar amenities and individual lockers. The studio also provides guest Wi-Fi access and will host a seasonal edit of Barry’s branded performance wear and athleisure alongside co-branded apparel by Lululemon.
Beyond the Surry Hills studio, Barry’s Australia will open its flagship Martin Place location next month with a further third Sydney studio and Melbourne’s first studio launching early 2019.
Individual classes at Barry’s Surry Hills are priced at $36 (class packages and memberships are also available).
Barry’s has an existing 44 locations worldwide across 18 cities including Los Angeles, New York, Milan, London, Dubai, Toronto and now Sydney.
