Australia's first Clip ‘n Climb centre opens in Melbourne

Offering a new type of recreational climbing experience, Australia's first standalone Clip ‘n Climb centre has opened in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond.

Introducing the facility, owner Emma Moore explains “Clip ‘n Climb has revolutionised the climbing experience and transformed it into exciting adventurous fun and a physical and mental challenge for all ages.

“Clip ‘n Climb is Melbourne’s newest and most exhilarating adventure attraction. With 33 unique and colourful indoor climbing challenges, each requiring different skill and agility, Clip ‘n Climb offers an active thrilling experience full of fun and adrenaline for everyone.”

Moore purchased the equipment in the centre from The Highgate Group, Australian distributors of Clip ‘n Climb technology, a climbing wall system that includes the unique ‘Trublu’ Auto Belay system. Developed by Christchurch, New Zealand-based Sheer Adventure, the Auto Belay system employs magnetic eddy current braking technology that helps climbers ascend with ease and provides a safe gentle descent back down to the ground.

The Trublu system also means that unlike other climbing centres no belaying buddy is required.

Features at Clip 'n Climb Melbourne include:

  • Jungle Gym - a commando style up a net.

  • Dry Ice - a wall climb using an icepick.

  • Speed Climbing

  • Stairway to Heaven

  • Leap of Faith - an invigorating vertical midair jump.

Clip ‘N Climb Melbourne is for all ages and also accommodates birthday parties, school groups, sports teams, social groups, and team building groups and reward and recognition recipients with a massive amount of thrill in a supervised indoor environment.
