Australian Reptile Park announces award wins on day of reopening

The Australian Reptile Park has won all four of the Central Coast Business Awards for which it was nominated, with the announcement coming today - the same day that the Park has finally reopened after almost four months of COVID-closure.

The Australian Reptile Park was awarded:

• Outstanding Business Leader (Tim Faulkner – Director)

• Outstanding Young Business Leader (Amanda Woodbine - Marketing & Business Manager)

• Employee of the Year (Zac Bower - Venom Supervisor)

• Excellence in Business

The awards – announced on Friday night - mark a huge achievement for the Park and follow the Park having secured many awards over the last five years. Even with the event being hosted online, it was still a wonderful evening. Previous achievements include winning 2018 NSW State Business of the Year, 2018 Regional Business of the Year and 2019 Major Tourist Attraction Gold Award for Destination NSW.

The staff are ecstatic about the Australian Reptile Park’s victory, but are even more excited to be opening their doors to the public once again.

Tim Faulkner, Director at the Australian Reptile Park said of the achievement “like most other businesses, we have faced our fair share of challenges over the last two years. Being able to celebrate this win at the same time that we finally get to reopen is just wonderful.

“Winning these awards just confirms my belief that the Australian Reptile Park is truly the Best Family Fun Day Out! It is fantastic to have that recognised by Business NSW and we are so excited that we get to share the Park with our visitors once again today.”

The Australian Reptile Park will now go onto the State Business Awards to compete against other regional winners for the coveted ‘Excellence in Business’ award – an award the organisation won in 2018 and is hoping to win again in 2021.

The Australian Reptile Park is open today and as a COVIDSafe business, will be observing all Government rules to keep its staff and visitors safe. As well as the chance to reconnect with nature after months stuck at home, visitors will be able to redeem their Dine & Discover NSW Vouchers at the Park - both at Reception and the on-site kiosk, the Hard Croc Café.

The Australian Reptile Park is located in the natural bush setting of the Central Coast of NSW, only 30 minutes from the start of the M1 and just 60 minutes from Sydney. The Australian Reptile Park is open and is welcoming visitors every day from 9am-5pm, with complimentary parking and BBQ facilities.
