Australian first for TixTrack ticketing with Art Gallery of NSW implementation

US-based ticketing technology provider TixTrack has advised of its first Australian installation with the introduction of its Ticketure software at the Art Gallery of NSW.

The Sydney attraction introduced the new ticketing technology ahead of last weekend’s opening of its Sydney International Art Series exhibition Matisse: Life & Spirit, Masterpieces from the Centre Pompidou, Paris.

Commenting on what the technology will offer, Art Gallery of NSW Director of Public Engagement, Miranda Carroll stated “the implementation of TixTrack’s Ticketure software will ensure the Art Gallery of NSW has a fit-for-purpose, adaptable and sustainable technology solution.

“Importantly, we will now have flexibility to meet our changing needs into the future.”

Providing modern, cloud-based ticketing solutions for cultural attractions and live entertainment sectors, TixTrack’s products include Nliven - a reserved-seating system for recurring theatrical and event performances - and Ticketure - a general admission or timed entry event solution designed exclusively for aquariums, attractions, museums, tours and zoos.

Allows visitors to easily timed entry as well as tickets for exhibitions and events, Ticketure is an API-based, mobile-first ticketing management solution designed for general admission, as well as timed entry, for events and exhibitions.

TixTrack co-founder and Chief Executive, Steven Sunshine states “Ticketure is a modern, cloud-based solution created as a mobile-first product, built from the ground-up with timed entry events in mind.

“It also offers tight integrations to memberships.”

Explaining the arrival of the company in Australia, Sunshine added “we’ve been looking at the Australian market for quite a while.”

With a local partnership with promoter the Michael Cassel Group, TixTrack established an Australian office for sales and support.

Created to bring a rigorous science to the business of ticketing, TixTrack is proud of its 98% customer retention rate which it sees as a direct reflection of commitment to clients and the ability to add tangible value to their enterprise.

Ticketure is currently used galleries around the world including Chicago’s The Museum of Science and Industry, The Broad in Los Angeles and the newly opened Academy Museum of Motion Picture, also in Los Angeles.

Matisse: Life & Spirit, Masterpieces from the Centre Pompidou, Paris runs at the Art Gallery of NSW until 13th March 2022.

Construction of the Art Gallery of NSW’s Sydney Modern expansion is scheduled to finish in the first half of next year.
