Best Australian events named on Awards shorlist
Australian Event Awards’ Judging Panel have today named the 38 Best Events in Australia together with a host of achievements, companies and individuals who collectively make up the nominees for the 2019 Event Awards.
Among the finalists, Australia’s best festivals of music, art, culture and sport sit alongside business and corporate events and industry achievements.
Brenda LaPorte, co-chair of the Judging Panel advises: “The Australian Events Industry is truly inspirational. From small events that draw together communities in regional towns to events that deliver marketing benefits to some of the biggest brands in the world, the finalists in this year’s awards have made a massive contribution socially, economically and environmentally. They are all to be congratulated for their achievements in making finalist and for making the job of the judging panel so very difficult in selecting the winner in each category.”
This year, Perth Festival (WA), Santos Tour Down Under 2018 (SA), Vivid Sydney 2018 (NSW), Invictus Games (NSW) and Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019 (VIC) have all gained finalist spots.
In the business events space, finalists include IBM Think Summit 2019 (NSW), Salesforce World Tour 2019 (NSW) and the Brisbane Truck Show 2019 (QLD).

Peter Rix AM, co-chair of the Judging Panel added: “The Australian Events industry has been a world-leader for many years now and this year’s achievements demonstrate why. The skill, determination and innovation displayed by all the finalists is remarkable. They are to be congratulated for not being content to rest on their professional laurels, but for pushing the boundaries of achievement and looking for new and more spectacular ways to put on their respective shows.”
Individual and company award categories include finalists nominated by a broad group of organisations including David Atkins Enterpises, GPJ Australia, Belle Laide Events and cievents.
