Australian circus gymnasts win prizes at Monte Carlo
Two seventh generation members of the famous Ashton Circus family have won prestigious awards at the first ever New Generation International Circus Festival held in Monte Carlo.
Jordan and Merrick Ashton performed a comedy knockabout act and Merrick a slack-wire presentation.
They won three awards:
ï¾ First prize 'Prix Jury Junior International' for their knock-about comedy table act.
ï¾ Bronze Clown also for this act
ï¾ 'Prix Erich Rozewicz' for Merrick's slack-wire act.
Other competitors at the recent awards came from Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Czechoslovakia, Netherlands, Switzerland, China and Monaco.
