ATEC announces Meeting Place 2025 to be held in Perth
The Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) has advised that Meeting Place 2025 (MP25), in partnership with Tourism Western Australia, will be held in Perth from 27th to 29th October 2025.
MP25 is expected to attract more than 500 tourism industry leaders, international buyers and local suppliers, generating over $2 million in direct visitor spending for the WA economy.
Across the three-day event, delegates will participate in thousands of face-to-face business meetings, build vital business relationships, and take part in an engaging program of conferences, market briefings, and networking events.
This year’s event will offer delegates the chance to experience Perth as a vibrant, fast-growing capital city and explore the many attractions Western Australia has to offer. With so much to see and do before and after the event, delegates are encouraged to extend their stay and make the most of their visit.
ATEC Managing Director Peter Shelley noted “Meeting Place plays a central role in Australia’s tourism export sector, it’s where our industry connects, collaborates and does business.
“With Perth as our host city, we’re offering attendees the perfect mix of high-value commercial outcomes and unforgettable destination experiences.”
This year’s event will also offer optional pre and post-event famils and the opportunity to visit iconic WA destinations including Rottnest Island, renowned for its famous quokkas.
"ATEC is proud to partner with Tourism WA to deliver this signature event in one of Australia’s leading visitor destinations.
“Meeting Place is not only about doing business, it’s also about experiencing the incredible depth and diversity of what Australia has to offer,” Shelley added.
Tourism WA Managing Director Anneke Brown said securing the hosting rights for ATEC Meeting Place 2025 is a fantastic opportunity to showcase Western Australia’s world-class tourism experiences directly to the agents who sell Australia internationally.
“This event connects the WA tourism industry directly with key international buyers, including inbound tour operators and online travel agents, which is fundamental to drive global visitation and strengthen WA’s presence in priority markets.
“Having ATEC Meeting Place return to Perth will provide delegates with firsthand experience of what makes WA a premier tourism destination and make it easier for frontline sellers to promote and book WA holiday packages with international travellers.”
Business Events Perth Chief Executive, Gareth Martin said securing Meeting Place 2025 is a fantastic opportunity for Western Australia and enthused “Business Events Perth was thrilled to work with Tourism WA and ATEC to secure Meeting Place 2025.
“ATEC’s flagship event brings direct business visitor spend while also showcasing this great state and its leading tourism export operators to more than 500 industry decision makers and international travel buyers.”
