Asian Attractions Expo 2014 to offer unique industry development opportunities

Exclusive networking opportunities, including visits to some of Beijing’s premier visitor attractions, await more than 5,000 attractions industry professionals from more than 60 countries at Asian Attractions Expo 2014.

The event, owned and produced by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), is the leading international conference and trade show in Asia for attractions industry professionals to connect with one another and forge business-changing relationships. Asian Attractions Expo 2014 will take place from 17th to 20th June at the China National Convention Centre in Beijing, China.

The Opening Reception, Asian Attraction Expo 2014’s marquee networking event, will allow managers, directors, and high-ranking executives to reconnect with business associates and establish new partnerships in a relaxed atmosphere. The event will take place immediately following the closure of the trade show floor Wednesday 18th June.

On Friday 20th June, attendees can tour the 560,000 metre2 theme park, Happy Valley, which is comprised of six themed areas, including Wild Fjord, Atlantis, Aegean Harbor, Lost Maya, Shangri-La, and Ant Kingdom, and more than 50 scenic cultural and ecological sights.

Asian Attractions Expo 2014 attendees can mingle with peers and colleagues during visits to two of China’s most historic attractions: The Forbidden City and the Great Wall of China Badaling.

On Tuesday 17th June, participants can tour The Forbidden City, which was the imperial palace from the Ming Dynasty through the Qing Dynasty. The tour begins in Tiananmen Square where attendees can visit the Tiananmen Tower, Monument to the People’s Heroes, Mao Zedong Memorial Hall, and more.

Conference attendees can also participate in a tour following the conclusion of the Expo to the Great Wall of China Badaling on Saturday 21th June.

Attendees have many additional face-to-face opportunities to forge new relationships and expand their business in the Asia-Pacific region, including on the record-setting 8,500 metre2 trade show floor and in expert-led education sessions.

Commenting on the potential of the Expo, IAAPA President and Chief Executive Paul Noland states “the receptions, off-site visits, and other networking opportunities offered during Asian Attractions Expo 2014 provide attraction industry professionals from all over the world the chance to build relationships in the world’s most rapidly developing market. “Connections made in Beijing could lead to productive new business opportunities throughout the world.”

Separate registration is required for the Opening Reception, tours of the Forbidden City and Happy Valley, and the post-Expo visit to the Great Wall of China Badaling.
