ARIA and PPCA appoint Nick Esmore to newly created role of Finance Director
The Phonographic Performance Company of Australia (PPCA) and the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) have appointed Nick Esmore to the newly created role of Finance Director, commencing Monday, 5th May 2025.
Esmore joins PPCA and ARIA following six successful years at Foxtel, most recently as Finance Director for Sports Streaming and Advertising, overseeing high-growth platforms such as Kayo and BINGE. His extensive experience includes senior finance roles in Australia and internationally at companies including J.P. Morgan, Colgate-Palmolive, and the Commonwealth Bank.
At ARIA and PPCA, Esmore will be responsible for the organisations’ finance, PPCA Distribution, business technology, ARIA Charts, and HR portfolios. The news follows the announcement that Chief Operating Officer Lynne Small will step down this week, after nearly three decades of dedicated service.
Following Small’s announcement, Rohini Sivakumar was promoted to General Counsel and Company Secretary while Julia Robinson has also been promoted to Head of Government Relations and Programs.
ARIA and PPCA Chief Executive, Annabelle Herd advised “Nick brings exactly the kind of commercial insight, strategic thinking, and collaborative leadership we need as we move forward. He has a strong passion for music and will be a great addition to the team and the industry.
“With Lynne’s extraordinary legacy and incredibly generous support in the handover, we’re in a strong position for this next chapter.”
Esmore enthused “I’m really excited to join ARIA and PPCA given the important role they play in supporting Australian music. It’s an incredible opportunity to bring my experience into an industry that’s as dynamic and creative as music, and I’m looking forward to contributing to its continued growth and success.”
