Aquis becomes Gold Coast Titans' naming rights partner
Integrated resort development company The Aquis Group has announced a naming rights partnership that will see the Gold Coast Titans known as the Aquis Gold Coast Titans for the remainder of the 2015 and 2016 NRL season.
The Aquis Group is a major investor in Queensland and Australia and has recently revealed plans to purchase the Sheraton Mirage Resort on the Gold Coast. This follows their acquisition of sites in Surfers Paradise, Varsity Lakes and the Patinack Farm assets at Canungra.
The announcement is a significant show of support for the future of the Titans who had struggled to find a shirt sponsor as a result of a series of off-field incidents and declining spectator support on the Gold Coast.
To address its challenges, the club recently completed a five-year strategic plan to continuously improve its fortunes.
The Aquis logo on the front of the Titans' jersey will replace the Ronald McDonald House logo which has occupied the space since the start of the season as part of the Titans' commitment to the local community, and the outstanding contribution Ronald McDonald House makes in helping the families of sick children.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Titans Chief Executive Graham Annesley stated "I welcome Aquis to the Titans family and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.
"I also want to personally thank Tony and Justin Fung from Aquis for their faith in the vision we have for the club's future."
