Aquatics and Recreation Victoria partners to present workshops to advance female leaders
Aquatics & Recreation Victoria (ARV) and the Director of Advancing Women in Sport and Business, Michelle Redfern, have partnered together to facilitate a six-month training program to increase a variety of business skills for emerging female leaders within the aquatic and recreation industry.
Each monthly workshop provides a combination of facilitated learning, structured networking, and practical pragmatic leadership, business and commercial skill development for women along with a special guest presentation by one of our Advancing Women Ambassadors.
The tailored program is designed to deliver the following outcomes:
• Increase the leadership capacity and business acumen of the participants
• Inspire current and next generation leaders through leadership journey sharing from the program's Advancing Women Ambassadors
• Provide networking and community building opportunities for female leaders within the aquatic and recreation sector
The initiative will include the following Advancing Women Ambassadors:

Jerril Rechter, Chief Executive, VicHealth
Karen Golden, General Manager Destinations and Wellness Group, Belgravia Leisure
Leigh Russell, Chief Executive, Swimming Australia
Carol Fox, Chair, Women Sport Australia
along with special guests at workshop
Female Leadership Capability Program will be conducted once a month for six months on the following dates: 18th March, 8th April, 27th May, 17th June, 8th July and 12th August.
