Anytime Fitness opens 100th club in The Philippines

Global gym franchise Anytime Fitness’ growth in south east Asia is continuing with the opening of its 100th club in The Philippines.

The new 24/7 gym in the centre of the Filipino capital of Manila has been described as offering “competitive pricing” and, in common with other Anytime Fitness locations, having the appeal of being “located nearer to communities or within walking distance of most residential and commercial areas.”

Commenting on the chain’s growth in the region, Anytime Fitness Asia Chief Executive Maurice Levine told The Manila Times “I am confident that the Philippine market is more than ready for us. The number of clubs we have in the country is a testament to the dedication of the Filipino people to health and fitness. They create the need and we are here to heed the call.”

The opening of the milestone gym is in line with Anytime Fitness’ new advertising campaign, ‘You’re Welcome’, which aims to answer the decade-long stigma of gym intimidation, Jap Angeles, Anytime Fitness Asia Regional Marketing Manager, added “our new tagline is inspired by the brand values that we want to share with our community.

“It reflects the future we aspire to have; to be the safe place where everyone can be themselves without any judgments, intimidation, or discrimination.”
