Alpine Shire Council counts down to opening of Myrtleford Splash Park

The highly anticipated Myrtleford Splash Park is now on track for completion with the project set to Open to the community by late April.

Commenting on progress of the much-delayed project, Alpine Shire Council Director - Assets, Alan Rees advised “we know the community is eager to enjoy the new splash park, and we're focussed on getting it finished as soon as possible.”

Recent works on the site have seen:

  1. Footings poured, and the plant room and toilet block are in place.

  2. Installation of underground plumbing and control wiring for all water features.

  3. Delivery of all water features and shelters in preparation for installation.

Alpine Shire Mayor, Sarah Nicholas, highlighted the importance of the project, noting “the Myrtleford Splash Park has been community-led from the very beginning, with strong advocacy from the Myrtleford Chamber of Commerce and Tourism.

"It’s going to be a fantastic space for locals and visitors to enjoy, and we appreciate the community’s patience as we work towards the finish line.”

The Myrtleford Splash Park is fully funded by the Commonwealth Government under the Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grants Program.
