Almost 1.5 million watch Wallabies Tri Nations success
Almost 1.5 million people across Australia tuned in to watch the Wallabies end a decade long Tri Nations drought and defeat the All Blacks 25-20 in front of a packed Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night.
The final Tri Nations Test between two of Rugby's traditional rivals was the highest rating rugby Test of all time on Pay TV with around 428,000 viewers tuning in to the Fox Sports broadcast.
It was the third most watched Pay TV program ever behind the 2011 Super Rugby Final (531,000 viewers and shown exclusively on Pay TV) and the 2009 World Cup Qualifier between the Socceroos and Uzbekistan (431,000 viewers and also shown exclusively on Fox Sports).
The Castrol Edge Tri Nations decider achieved 428,000 on Pay TV with the match also being broadcast live around the country on Channel Nine, Nine's digital channel GEM and regional affiliates.
The overall audience for the Castrol Edge Tri Nations decider also makes it the second most watched Qantas Wallabies Test in the past seven seasons, surpassed only by the 2006 Bledisloe Cup Test in Brisbane.
