All Blacks to play USA in Chicago
New Zealand’s All Blacks will play the USA for only the fourth time in its history in a rugby union test in Chicago on 1st November.
The All Blacks, who share the same sponsor as USA’s Eagles, will play the Americans in the historic home of the Chicago Bears NFL franchise, the 61,000 capacity Soldier Field Stadium.
Taking one of the world’s strongest sport brands to the USA has been widely anticipated, with New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRA) Chief Executive Steve Tew having previously stated that the game would be a "revenue generator."
This will mark the first match between the two sides on American soil since 1980 and just the third official Test in front of what is expected to be a record crowd for a rugby union match in the United States.
The All Blacks last took on the Eagles at the 1991 Rugby World Cup in England and played an exhibition match in the USA in 1980.
The teams also played each other 101 years ago in California.
Last year, a game between the Eagles and the New Zealand Maori was played in front of a sold-out crowd at PPL Park in Philadelphia.
