Aleenta Barre to open fifth Barre Studio in Melbourne CBD
The rapid growth of yoga, Pilates and ballet studio group Aleenta Barre will see the launch of its fifth fitness studio in Australia on Tuesday 8th December.
The opening of the new Aleenta Barre studio in the Melbourne CBD, its second in the city and sited in the busy St James Square on Bourke Street, will be followed by five days of previews for students and potential members to trial barre and find out what it is all about.
Aleenta Barre is an exercise style aimed to lengthen, tone and strengthen students' bodies, merging the best of yoga, Pilates and the ballet barre.
The one-hour, non-impact classes combine key ballet techniques and positions, yoga poses to lengthen and stretch and Pilates to improve core strength and correct posture.
Working the entire body targeting all key muscle groups, classes use small hand weights and the body’s own weight to isolate, strengthen and sculpt.
Barre fitness was founded in the USA in the mid 1950s and has enjoyed widespread popularity in the USA and UK in the past 10 years.
According to Aleenta Barre co-founder Claire Bastow “Barre is still very new in Australia and students are amazed at how effective the exercise is.
"It is very addictive!”
“We opened Aleenta Barre in Adelaide in early 2014 and now have three company-owned studios in Adelaide and this will be our second in Melbourne.
"We commenced franchising recently and have another two franchised studios opening in the next six months.
“Our classes are unique to any other barre style.
"All our Aleenta Barre classes are scripted and follow the same routine for four weeks. New routines are then introduced every four weeks to tone slightly different muscles groups”.
Designed for maximum effectiveness, Bastow adds "our students see toning results very quickly. And we are so confident that we offer a three week challenge where students complete 10 classes in three weeks and if they don’t see any toning changes they get their money back.
"We are yet to have one person ask for their money back."
Bastow suggests the following 10 reasons to trial Aleenta Barre:
1. It is super effective - Aleenta Barre targets every inch of your body with isometric (small) movements, which make 1kg weights feel like 20kg weights. It looks deceptively easier than it feels.
2. It is tough - we are not going to lie; barre is challenging. Exercises target specific muscles and you will use muscles you didn’t even know existed. The longer you do classes, the more your technique will improve and the more challenging the classes will become.
3. We have a money back guarantee - Purchase our 3 Week Challenge and complete 10 classes in 3 weeks and if you don’t see any toning changes we will give you your money back. We have sold hundreds of these passes and are yet to have one person ask for their money back.
4. You can try it out for FREE - every student is entitled to a free trial class to assess whether to barre or not to barre.
5. You don’t need to be able to dance - in some styles of barre, coordination is essential, but not at Aleenta Barre. The only requirement of our classes is the ability to hold a barre. We are all about exercising, not dancing.
6. Our 5 different styles of classes cover all your needs - cardio, toning, core and yoga, meditation.
• Barre Burn - Straight from the US, this is the traditional style of barre. Small, isometric exercises make muscles burn. A tough toning workout to get the body you’ve always wanted. Savasana at the end of class is a much needed reward.
• Barre Blend - This challenging class warms up with yoga flows, followed by barre moves to tone and strengthen. This class combines the best of yoga and barre. Savasana finish restores energy after a strong workout.
• Yoga Barre - Exclusive to Aleenta, this tough class combines yoga flows to lengthen your body, barre to tone glutes and legs, stretching to improve flexibility, core work and ending in guided meditation. If you like yoga, this class is perfect for you.
• Abs & Extend - The perfect addition to your barre workout. Push your core, improve back strength and posture and reduce back pain issues. Stretching is key for long lean muscles. Finish with meditation. Your body will feel brand new.
• Barre F.I.T - This fast paced circuit class is designed to lift your heart rate, transform your body and increase metabolism. Short, high intensity exercises with minimal rest using barre exercises with weight training.
7. Our classes suit all levels of fitness – every class is appropriate for newbies to the experienced and those seeking a challenge. We encourage everyone to do as much of the class as possible, but take breaks as they require. We design our classes so that even the most experienced students still need to take at least one or two breaks throughout class.
8. We change our classes monthly - We design new classes every four weeks to enable students to improve over the month and then be challenged again with a new class and exercises starting the following month. You can expect the same quality class routine no matter who teaches the class or what studio- every class is consistent.
9. You can attend any one of our studios - Your Aleenta Barre membership or class passes are valid at any of our studios Australia wide.
10. Our studios are beautiful, welcoming and fun!
