AEG Ogden venues win Western Australian catering awards

AEG Ogden managed venues in Perth have taken out four major venue catering awards.

AEG Ogden (Perth) Pty Ltd venues this week achieved a 'cleansweep' in every category nominated in the Western Australian Restaurant and Catering Awards for Excellence.

Heading the queue was His Majesty's Theatre which was named Venue Caterer of the Year. The Cafe at the Perth Concert Hall was named Best Metropolitan Entertainment Restaurant, View Restaurant at the Albany Entertainment Centre won Best Regional Cafe Restaurant while Jason Gordon, the Outlets Manager at Perth Concert Hall was Employee of the Year.

The winners will now represent Western Australia in the respective categories at the national finals later this year.

AEG Ogden Executive Director, Rod Pilbeam (pictured) said the awards are recognition for the Food and Beverage team under the leadership of Kyllie Graham, who pride themselves on food quality and high standards of service and presentation.

Pilbeam explained "these are outstanding results and continue an ongoing history of such wins since food and beverage services were brought in-house.

"In that time, Perth Theatres have won the WA Venue Caterer of the Year consecutively from 2001 to 2007 and then again in 2009, 2010 and 2012.

"They have taken out the Gold Plate Award as Venue Caterer in 2007, 2010 and 20011, the National Award for Venue Caterer in 2005 and 2008, Australian Caterer of the Year in 2007, and a range of chef and employee recognitions over the past decade.

"Public and industry recognition of the high standard of culinary services we operate at all AEG Ogden venues continues to give our patrons reason to cheer. "
